FORMASSIST™ APPLICATION WITH SOURCE CODE NOW AVAILABLE FROM PEGASUS IMAGING |
TAMPA, FL, March 5, 2007 – Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leading provider of digital imaging technology, today announces the release of FormAssist, a ready-to-use Windows .NET demonstration application. It was built to enable evaluation of the company’s newly released forms processing technologies found within the FormSuite software development kit (SDK). The company is providing the application and C# source code free of charge. FormAssist demonstrates form identification and form dropout (FormFix®), zonal OCR (SmartZone™), OMR (FormFix), image display (ImagXpress™), and image cleanup (ScanFix® Xpress™). Users of FormAssist can import scanned images of master forms, define OCR and OMR recognition regions on each template, assemble sets of form templates, then process images of filled forms to confirm template setup and observe OCR and OMR results. By tuning the various parameters at each stage of processing, accuracy and performance can be measured on users’ own forms, prior to application development. The FormAssist application also provides software developers with complete source code to use as a foundation for developing production form template setup and forms processing applications. The source code illustrates best practice for integration of Pegasus components and provides an example workflow. The modular construction of the source code facilitates rapid development of form setup and forms processing solutions. FormAssist source code in C# is included in the FormSuite .NET toolkit download. “This release of FormAssist provides an easy means of evaluating the latest release of our forms processing technologies,” says Rick Scanlan, director of sales engineering at Pegasus Imaging. “Fast product evaluation and quick application development are extremely important to our customers.
